While the USDA inspection established the minimum approval for poultry, Cagle's philosophy has always been that quality has to come from inside the company, not outside.

From the earliest days of George Cagle, the company has established internal standards that go beyond the ordinary. We've established rigid internal controls- regular inspections that make certain there are no surprises for either institutional customers or the consumer. Inspectors in processing make certain that the sizing is precisely what the customer wants, and that every piece of chicken is free of bruises or blemishes.
