Building for the Future
In recent years, chicken has taken its place as the American consumers' most popular main course, surpassing beef, pork and turkey. The reasons are based on the two biggest trends in the market today- health and convenience- along with the oldest incentives in food: good taste and reasonable prices.

In 1970, when Cagle's celebrated its 25th anniversary, the average American consumed 40 pounds of chicken per year. In 1995, Cagle’s celebrated it’s 50th anniversary and the consumption had risen to over 74 pounds per capita.  And now, as we enter into the 21st century, having celebrated our 60th anniversary in 2005,  we find that the consumption of chicken has more than doubled since 1970, to 87 pounds per capita.  The prospects for continued growth are excellent. Along with health, convenience and good taste, chicken will always offer inexhaustible variety and good value. The fact is, you could enjoy chicken every night for the rest of your life and never have to use the same recipe twice.
With Cagle's people doing the job they've done for over half a century, a good chicken meal will always be within easy reach of everyone.
